What is airsoft?
Airsoft originated in Japan during the mid-1970s, mainly because it was illegal to own firearms by private individuals. The first airsoft guns available were spring-powered replicas of firearms that fired 6mm, plastic pellets or BBs. Soon after Airsoft as a recreational sport followed almost immediately with the release of the guns. Airsoft Games are similar to Paintball Games. Airsoft Guns project 6mm Plastic BBs. Airsoft is designed for use in a certified or regulated sporting events and competitions. Airsoft Guns are also used in military or civil defense activities as well as theatrical productions and movies. Airsoft Guns are not BB Guns or Paintball Guns. Airsoft Guns do not shoot at dangerous speeds and impact like BB Guns. Airsoft gained their popularity over Paintball because it's a more affordable sport, Airsoft Guns look better than Paintball Guns, and are more practical.
Does airsoft hurt?
In short, yes…but it’s not that bad. The amount of pain you may feel will depend on a lot of factors, such as your pain tolerance, distance, clothing, weight of the BB, power of the airsoft gun, and more. First, remember pain is subjective — what we call a 3 out of 10, you might call a 7 out of 10 or vice versa. You know your own pain tolerance, so plan accordingly.
Its my first time what should I wear/ bring to play?
Wear thick clothes! We absolutely reccomend that you come prepared with long sleeves and pants. Your clothes do not have to be too thick as this will make you sweat more but for your first time a basic hoodie and jeans is perfect. Another thing you may want to do is get a pair of gloves to protect your hands. Your airsoft gun will be one of the first things that will be seen when you are shooting from a corner. This means that it will be a target most of the time and your hands will get hit quite a lot in the process.
Do I need to make a reservation?
Reservations for players bringing their own gear to play are not required, walk-ins are always accepted. If you are looking to rent gear from us we recommend checking availability before walking in as our spots get filled up quick! Reservations are reccomended for groups of 8 rentals or more. Can I bring my own gear?
Yes, Players are allowed to bring in their own equipment. However, all equipment MUST be within our field regulations. It will be tested upon your arrival to ensure it meets our limits and standards. See Chrono Limits.
How do I transport my airsoft gun and gear?
When transporting your Airsoft gun, remember that you are carrying an item that is made to look like a real gun. The public and the police may not take it so lightly if you carry your gun inappropriately. Always transport your airsoft gun in a non-descriptive bag or case. Make sure your gun is NOT loaded when in transport. The original box does not count as a suitable transportation device, due to the markings and often a picture of the gun being present. On this note, a supermarket plastic bag, hand bag, rucksack are also not considered as suitable.
